Abdominal Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive type of massage to the abdomen that addresses digestive, urinary, reproductive, structural, emotional & energetic pelvic health
This abdominal therapy integrates Mayan indigenous healing techniques with fascial (connective tissue), and Swedish techniques for the structural integrity of the pelvis and the organs that lie within (the womb, digestive, and urinary organs), as well as the mind and spirit. These techniques can help one's entire being return to its natural state of wholeness.
Abdominal Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive type of massage applied to the abdomen and low back, along with other optional techniques such as a womb meditation, instructions in self-care massage, and fascial (connective tissue) stretches for the pelvis. This massage addresses a variety of issues from emotional and energetic concerns due to trauma, surgeries, diseases or miscarriages, as well as physical reproductive, digestive, urinary and structural concerns that may have been caused by a shift in organ position or pelvic mal-alignment. Shifts and mal-alignment can be caused by physical trauma, surgery, intense exercise, poor posture, cysts, tumors, etc. Shifted organs, a misaligned pelvis and energetic blocks can obstruct the flow of blood, nerve signals, lymphatic fluids, and chu'lel/qi (energy), causing stagnation, congestion and blockages that prevent the body from maintaining balance and wellness and affect its natural ability to heal. These blockages and mal-alignments impact reproductive, urinary, and bowel health. The techniques utilized can help to reposition the organs and pelvis - relieving pelvic stagnation and congestion, and returning it to its natural state of flow.
